Dr. K. Brahmaraju, Professor and Head of Mechanical Engineering department of SRKREC has been elected as a member of the National Council of Institution of Engineers (IEI), India. A total of 32 members contested in the Mechanical Engineering Division and Dr. Brahmaraju garu won the elections and secured a second consecutive term.

SRKREC signed Memorandum of Understanding with software firm Blackbuck Engineering Company on 27th November 2021. College principal Dr. M. Jagapathi Raju garu and CEO of Blackbuck T Anuradha signed the MoU and exchanged them. The MoU is aimed at providing triaing on latest technologies - Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Machine Learning for students and faculty of SRKREC.

2 Students Dulam Sri Siva Gayatri Devi (4/4 ECE) and Sireesha Burgala (4/4 CSE) secured a six month internship in Amazon with Rs.80,000/- per month as stipend which will be further converted into a full time job with Rs.44 Lakhs Per Annum. The college management congratulated both the students and the placement team for this success.

A new Centre for Foreign Languages has been started in SRKR Engineerin College to train students in foriegn languages and provide opportunities. Dr. Katharina Gorgen, Director of Goethe Institute at Max Mueller Bhavan, Chennai inaugurated the Centre for Foreign Languages at SRKREC campus. Mr. Prabhakar Narayanan (Head of Language Dept), Mr. Balaji Venkataraman (Co-ordinator of Educational Services) from the Goethe Institute were the guests of honor. V.S. Lakshmi Parana Pathoju, Assistant Professor of Physics Department has been awarded with PhD from Andhra University for her thesis titled "Study of Molecular Interactions with Thermocostic and Spectroscopic Investigation in certain binary and ternary liquid mixtures" under the supervision of Prof. K. Samatha, Professor of Andhra University.
