Workshop on 'Women Harassment-Preventive Measures'

The Women Empowerment Cell at SRKR Engg College had conducted a Workshop on 'Women Harassment-Preventive Measures'. Speaking on this occasion Senior Advocate Mrs. N. Satyavignana Devi had said that strict laws and punishments should be awarded to the people involved in women harassment. Inspite of having many stringent laws the attacks on women are still on a raise. She said that it’s the duty of the parents to raise their children with utmost discipline and then only we can put an end to these incidents. Principal of SRKR, Dr. M. Jagapathi Raju had said that students should not divert their interest towards unwanted incidents and should focus only on their high goals and dreams. The guest was being felicitated by the management very grandly. Vice President of SRKR Sri. SV Ranga Raju, Women Empowerment Cell In-Charge Dr. Bhuvaneshwari, Dr. Lakshmi, Dr. Aparna, Mrs. Sasikala took part in this event.

Spring Workshop at SRKR

The WET Center at SRKR had organized a workshop on 'Strategic Planning for Water Resources, Implementation of Biotechnological Practices (SPRING)' with the eminent scientists from European Union and eminent IITs across the country. Speaking on this occasion, the scientists expressed that in order to provide pure water resources, village or town should be taken as a single unit. He said that it is the duty of everyone to make sure that the globe is pollution free. SPRING project is expected to be complete by coming year. The scientists were briefed about the water resources particulars by BJP Leader Mr. Paka Satyanarayana. Principal Investigator Dr. PA Ramakrishnam Raju, Principal Dr. M. Jagapathi Raju and other eminent academicians took part in this workshop.

SRKR Students Shine in IBM Hack Challenge 2022

The students of SRKR have shined in the 'HACK Challenge 2022' conducted by IBM at the National Level and brought glory to the institution. Revealing the details of the same, Principal Dr. M. Jagapathi Raju had said that 1321 Institutions and 20500 students across the country participated in this event and 331 teams were shortlisted out of which 9 best teams were awarded by the Jury Members. One among the 9 teams was from SRKR in which 3rd Year IT students Sakshith, Varshini and Joharika have developed a Digital Payment Book for the convenience of the small and petty firms. The students were being congratulated by the management of the college. Vice President of SRKR Sri. SV Ranga Raju, IT HOD Dr. Ramakrishnam Raju, Placements Dean Dr. Satyanarayana, Technology Centre Head Dr. Gopala Krishna Murthy were present in this occasion.

Exhibition of Women Development Post Independence

The NSS Unit at SRKR Engineering College on the occasion of Azaadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav had held an exhibition on the above topic in which students from all the branches have participated enthusiastically. Speaking on this occasion Principal of SRKR, Dr. M. Jagapathi Raju had said that Women have shown their impact in all the sectors post-independence and stood as a role model for others. He quoted the examples of former PM Indira Gandhi, present Finance Minister Smt. Nirmala Seetha Raman, Sania Mirza, Mithali Raj and many industrialists in the pharmacy sector as well. SRKR Vice President Sri. SV Ranga Raju had praised the women community for their growth in the male dominated society. In charge CSE HOD Dr. Mahesh. Dr. Sirisha, NSS Coordinator Dr. Krishna Chaitanya and other faculty members participated in this exhibition.

Workshop on Strategic Planning for Water Resources and Implementation of Noble Bio Technical Treatment and Good Practice

The WET Centre at SRKR Engineering College is set to host a Workshop on the above topic on 23rd Nov, 2022 with the scientists from European Union and IIT's. Speaking on this occasion Principal Dr. M. Jagapathi Raju and Principal Investigator Dr. PA Ramakrishnam Raju had said that SPRING Project was being used in SRKR in collaboration with prominent IITs in India and countries like Norway, Finland, Portugal and Hungary. They have disclosed the list of prominent scientists and professors attending the workshop.
