SRKR students had been selected for south zone inter university chess competitions that re going to
be held at Chennai from 10th to 12th March, Principal of SRKR Dr. M. Jagapathi Raju had said. He
wished the students all the best. 6 students had been selected on behalf of JNTUK and 3 of them are
from SRKR. PD Dr. Satyanarayana Raju had said that coaching camp was being organized at SRKR for
JNTUK selected students from 4th to 8th of this month. Assistant PD G. Harimohan took part in this
event.
The ISTE Student Chapter at SRKR is conducting National Level Student Symposium NIPUNA-23 on
this month 17 th and 18 th , Principal Dr. M. Jagapathi Raju had said. The poster of the same was
inaugurated by Secretary & Correspondent Sri. SRK Nishanth Varma. Speaking on this occasion
Nipuna Faculty Coordinator Dr. Subbarao had said that 17 events are being conducted in this
programme. The student Chapter of ISTE at SRKR had stood as No.1 in AP at all India level for 2
times. Student representatives of ISTE took part in this event.
The Dept of CSE is going to conduct a workshop on ‘Development of Applications’ for 3 days starting
from 18 th of March, 2023 Principal Dr. M. Jagapathi Raju had said. The poster relating to the same
was inaugurated by Secretary and Correspondent Sri. SRK Nishanth Varma. Overview of new
technologies and development of applications will take place in this workshop. A 24 hackathon will
also be conducted on 23 rd march and students from various Engg colleges across the country had
registered for the same. HOD of CSE Dr. Chandrasekhar, Dr. Mahesh, Dr. Sirisha took part in this
event.
SRKR staff members Dr. Varma HOD of EEE and Dr. Kiran Kumar Varma Professor in Humanities Dept
had won first place in 45+ doubles at State Level College Teachers Shuttle Badminton Competitions
held at RVRJC Engg College, Guntur. The staff members were being felicitated by the Secretary and
Correspondent of SRKR Sri. SRK Nishanth Varma and Principal Dr. M. Jagapathi Raju. Dr. Kiran Kumar
Varma had also won Best Player Award in this tournament.
The students of SRKR had started new start-ups. Students under the guidance of Dr. Suresh Babu
had started a start-up named as Café By SRKR and students under the guidance of Dr. Gopalakrishna
Murthy and alumni of SRKR Mr. Rajsekhar had started a start-up for the blind people named as
‘Smart Vision By SRKR’. Both these start-ups were being awarded by NIT, Tadepalligudem recently.
On this occasion the students and mentors were felicitated by the Secretary and Correspondent of
SRKR Sri. SRK Nishanth Varma. He said that students should not be job seekers and they should be
job providers. Principal of SRKR Dr. M. Jagapathi Raju had said that the students of SRKR had proved
their mettle in various hackathons held across the country. Technology Centre Head Dr.
Gopalakrishna Murthy and CSD HOD Dr. Suresh Babu took part in this occasion.
