Bhimavaram, October 15: The SRKR Engineering College Toastmasters Club has been recognized with several prestigious awards at the District 126 level. Principal Dr. KV Muralikrishnam Raju announced this achievement, highlighting the club's commitment to excellence in communication and leadership.
During the District 126 competitions held in Hyderabad last May, the Toastmasters Club received numerous accolades, including the Toastmasters Club Division Pinnacle Award, Division Retention Camps Award, District Epic Award, District Retention Excellence Award, and the District Golden Club Award.
Club members Kumarvarma Penmetsa and G.V. Konda Reddy were honored with the PR Maestro Award for their exceptional public relations work. Additionally, S. Saipavan and M. Harish received the Financial Leadership Award for their significant contributions to financial management within the club.

Ravi Kiran Verma, Head of the IT Department at SRR Engineering College, has been honored with the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Educator Excellence Award. Bhimavaram, October 17: The JNTUK Central Zone "Men and Women" Badminton Tournament is set to take place on October 19th and 20th at Bhimavaram SRK Engineering College. This announcement was made by Dr. M. Jagapathi Raju, Director of the college, during a press briefing on Thursday evening.
Dr. Jagapathi Raju emphasized the college's commitment to prioritizing sports and encouraging student participation in athletic events. He also announced that following the badminton tournament, basketball and netball competitions for both men and women will be held on October 26th and 27th at the college sports premises.
In attendance were the in-charge principal Dr. K. Sureshbabu and Physical Director Dr. P. Satyanarayana Raju, who noted that the college successfully organized similar sports competitions last year. It was also revealed that teams competing in these events will have the opportunity to be selected for the South Zone tournaments by a special team from the university.

The event commenced on Friday morning with the ceremonial lighting of the torch.
Convenor K David Raju presided over the inaugural program, emphasizing that collaboration and sharing of ideas among students can lead to effective problem-solving. Dr. Muralikrishnamraju encouraged participants to engage in discussions to tackle various challenges.
A total of 209 students formed 60 teams to participate in the competition. The focus areas for their projects include critical issues such as agriculture, women's and child welfare, and health protection, with the aim of developing practical solutions that can make a positive impact.

The event kicked off with great enthusiasm, highlighting the college's commitment to promoting sports alongside academics.
Dr. K.V. Muralikrishna Raju, College Principal, also addressed the participants, encouraging students to excel in both sports and studies. College Physical Director Dr. P. Satyanarayana Raju announced that the tournament featured 28 teams in the men’s section and 15 teams in the women’s division, making it a competitive and exciting event.
The tournament also serves as a platform for selecting players for the South Zone competitions. Representatives from the university were present to support and witness the proceedings.
