SRKR Engineering College continues to promote all-round excellence by encouraging students to excel not only in academics but also in sports. Speaking at the college’s Sports Day celebrations, Secretary-cum-Correspondent Sagi Ramakrishna Nishant Varma emphasized that active participation in sports builds discipline and contributes to higher achievements in life. The college hosted the Central Zone Level Sports Competitions and celebrated the success of its students who showcased exceptional talent at South Zone and National-level Inter-University competitions. The event was presided over by Principal Dr. KV Muralikrishnam Raju, and was attended by Academic Dean Dr. V Chandrasekhar, Physical Director Dr. P. Satyanarayana, College Director Dr. M. Jagapathi Raju, Vice President Gokaraju Ramaraju, and other dignitaries, who commended the students for their outstanding performance and sportsmanship.
SRKR Engineering College proudly celebrated International Women’s Day under the auspices of the Women Empowerment Cell (WEC). The event aimed to inspire and encourage young women to actively participate and excel in all fields of life and career.
Dr. Irrinki Lakshmi, a renowned medical professional, was the guest of honor. In her address, she emphasized the importance of promoting gender equality and encouraging women to take leadership roles across various domains.
The celebration was organized by Dr. P. Bhuvaneshwari, WEC Coordinator, with active participation from Principal Dr. KV Muralikrishnam Raju, Dr. BHVN Lakshmi (Head of English and Foreign Languages), faculty members, and students.
The event served as a powerful platform to recognize women’s contributions and to motivate the next generation to strive for excellence.
On the occasion of National Science Day, the Department of Engineering Chemistry at SRKR Engineering College organized an event highlighting innovative student projects. A standout among these was the Smart City project, developed by the students to promote sustainable urban development using modern resources and technologies.
District Horticulture Officer R. Devanand Kumar attended the event and encouraged students to focus on creating solutions that contribute to the nation’s economic progress. He expressed appreciation for the hard work and creativity demonstrated by the students and emphasized the importance of applying scientific knowledge for the country’s development.
The event was conducted under the leadership of Dr. M. Jagapathi Raju, College Director, with coordination from Dr. P. Bhavani, Head of the Department of Engineering Chemistry. Principal Dr. K.V. Murali krishnam Raju also addressed the gathering, highlighting the significance of such initiatives in nurturing young innovators.
As part of the celebration, mementos were presented to students who excelled in various subjects. Faculty members including Dr. Chandrasekhar, Dr. Diwakar, and others from the Engineering Chemistry department participated actively in the program.
The National Level Technical Symposium IINA-25 concluded successfully on Saturday, hosted by the Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE), Student Wing of SRKR Engineering College, Bhimavaram. The two-day event, titled "Nipuna 25", was presided over by Dr. S. Ram Gopal Reddy, who shared valuable insights during the symposium.
During the event, renowned financial advisor M. Kaushik emphasized the importance of financial projections in achieving financial progress. He stated that every employee can improve their financial situation by making proper income and expenditure forecasts.
Mr. Kaushik expressed his appreciation for the large participation from students across various regions, highlighting the significance of financial planning. He also discussed the value of camaraderie and the importance of sharing knowledge among peers, particularly in areas such as stock market investments.
Dr. S. Ram Gopal Reddy, Vice President of the Student Body, emphasized the importance of guidance from ISTE faculty and the role of investment scrutiny in financial success.
The symposium also featured various competitions, and prizes were awarded to alumni participants who took part in the expert program.
College Director Dr. M. Jagapathi, along with faculty and staff including Shanmukha Priya, Sanjay, Ratna Kumari, Kusuma, Ajay Raju, and Principal Dr. KV Murali Krishnamraju Kumar, were present at the event to support the students and encourage their learning.
SRKR Engineering College hosted the prestigious National Level Go-Kart Championship from January 23rd to 26th, with teams from across the country competing in various categories. The event concluded with Visakhapatnam's Raghu Engineering College emerging as the Overall Champion, creating a record by securing both the first and second positions.
The prize-giving ceremony, held on January 26th, was graced by the Chief Guest, West Godavari District Collector, Chadalawada Nagarani, who congratulated the winners and highlighted the importance of mechanical engineering in the global industrial revolution. She emphasized that the ability of students to design and drive their own vehicles was a testament to their self-confidence and technological progress. She specially congratulated the winning team from Raghu Engineering College and commended SRKR Engineering College for organizing such a successful national-level competition.
The overall championship saw Raghu Engineering College take the top two spots, while the third position was secured by the mechanical engineering team from SRKR Engineering College. Raghu Engineering College also excelled in the acceleration, CPAD, and time bottle categories, winning first and second positions in each.
College Principal Dr. K.V. Muralikrishnam Raju presided over the ceremony, with College Secretary and Correspondent Sagi Ramakrishna Nishantha Varma, Director Dr. M. Jagapathi Raju, and other distinguished faculty members in attendance.
Dr. K. Suresh Babu, Head of Mechanical Engineering, shared that SRKR Engineering College will continue to host such national-level competitions in the future. On this occasion, memos of appreciation were presented to the coordinators and management for their exceptional efforts in organizing the event smoothly over the past three months.
