Samatha, Professor of Andhra University.

Civil Engineering Department of SRKREC, in association with IEI, Bhimavaram Local Chapter has celebrated the Engineer's Day on campus this Wednesday by felicitating prominent engineering of the locality. Retired SE Sri Rangarao garu, Principal SRKREC Dr. M. Jagapathi Raju garu, Sri G Ravi Kiran Shastri (NIT AP), Deputy EE R&B Sri P.V. Ramaraju were felicitated and honored on this occasion. Dr. PARK Raju WET Centre Head, Senior Professors Dr. Subrahmanyam Raju, Dr. Phani Kumar, Siva Rama Raju, Dr. K. Brahma Raju, Dr. K. Suresh Babu, Dr. Viswanadha Raju, Dr. Prasad and other staff were present on this occasion.
The Civil Engineering students of SRKREC secured first place at national level AICTE Chattra Vishwa Karma Award 2020 by designing the shramik web portal. The final year students V Tridesh, K Bhargavi, Shyam Kiran, K Chandrika, S Kranti, K Suryakamal, K Puneeth designed Shramik.in website with the help of mentor Assistant Professor of Civil Department Mr. Raju Penupothula.
Out of the 1400 entries from all over India, SRKREC team secured first prize and received a cash award of Rs.51,000/- from union minister of education Dharmendra Pradhan and AICTE chairman Sahasrabuddhe on 5th September 2020 at New Delhi. The Civil Department has felicitated the mentor and his team for their achievement on 9th September on campus. The mentor P Raju said that the details of skilled labour could be found in the portal and in the case of natural disasters, they could be traced and helped. The portal is also useful for the construction industry.
