EEE ACTIVITIES:

  • The Department has the Association of Electrical Engineering-AEE which conducts skill development & Communication programs.

  • The Department Organizes a National level Technical Symposium for both B.E/B.Tech and M.E/M.Tech students every year with a banner of "SANKALP".

  • The department Conducts SDP (Student Development Program) and Workshops with a banner of "APOORVA" on latest technologies by eminent personalities and Alumni.

  • The department has Hobby club Viz "SADHANA" to have practical orientation.

Faculty Innovative Activities in Teaching & Learning

1. Value Added Courses
Value-Added courses are part of the curriculum designed to provide necessary skills to increase the employability quotient and equipping the students with essential skills to succeed in life.

2. APOORVA
This program is an 'Alumni Workshop' and we intend to have our alumni only as resource persons for this program for delivering talks, conducting workshops etc. This event is an alumni workshop in which prominent alumni of this department deliver talks on career guidance, industry experience and life skills.

3. GATEWAY
The aim of this program is to guide EEE department students for GATE preparation by providing Gate resources, lectures. Students utilizing the available resources, gain knowledge for getting GATE ranks.

4. Field Visits
When it comes to engineering, a prominent method of value-added education is industrial visits. Holistic learning is never complete with textbooks and lectures. Hands-on education is a necessity. It provides a better understanding of how concepts are transformed into action and applied in real-world scenarios.

5. SADHANA: Projects Laboratory
Technology is updating day-by-day based on the human needs. A Technical Graduate student must be able to face those challenges by adopting practical knowledge within their graduation study. Here in EEE Department, a dedicated Projects lab - Sadhana, provides a good platform for the student to learn and develop practical knowledge by doing hardware projects. Mentors (faculty) also make use of this space for their demonstration and exploration of student curriculum or non-curriculum activities. This lab spots a good platform for students to get hands on experience for conducting and executing hobby/mini projects along with their regular curriculum. This lab also acts as hub for intellectuals in sharing practical knowledge and skills, which will lead to the new inventions. The lab is facilitated with dedicated space with experimental workbench, tools and measuring instruments, mentorship from the students and the faculty, and also training sessions with the experts.

6. Focused group study
Students are divided into specific groups and are assigned specific topics related to curricular learning. These groups study the topics in detail through library books, internet, and library journals. Thereafter, the topics are discussed by individual groups in the class and the teacher further guides them about the specific topic. The group's composition and the group discussion should be carefully planned to create a nonthreatening environment, so that participants feel free to talk openly and give honest opinions. Since participants are actively encouraged to not only express their own opinions, but also respond to other members and questions posed by the leader, focus groups offer a depth and variety to the discussion. Additionally, because focus groups are structured and directed, but also expressive, they can yield a lot of information in a relatively short time.

7. Interactive classrooms to facilitate spot learning
The lecture classroom turns into an active learning center for thought-provoking discussion, personalized learning and engaging group activities. With the help of laptop and projector, the contents from the syllabus are explained to the students. The students thereafter are given a series of questions to be answered on spot which facilitates better learning and understanding of the topic being taught.

8. Course Materials using QR codes
With QR codes employed for Classroom Materials, students can access accurate sources and quality learning content. All it takes to do so is just one scan. Furthermore, incorporating QR codes in the classroom brings convenience to teachers as this ease their daily workload.
