The Department of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science equips students with strong foundations in mathematics, statistics, computing, and intelligent data-driven decision systems.

The program emphasizes machine learning, deep learning, data engineering, visualization, and model deployment skills needed for real-world AI and analytics workflows.

Students actively participate in project-based learning, case studies, hackathons, and applied problem-solving across domains such as healthcare, finance, agriculture, and smart systems.

Welcome to the Department of Artificial Intelligence & Data Science

Established in 2021, the Department of Artificial Intelligence & Data Science at SRKR Engineering College is a fast-growing, future-focused department built for the data-driven economy. With an annual intake of 240 students in our B.Tech program, we equip students to design intelligent systems, engineer large-scale data pipelines, and turn raw data into decisions that move organisations forward.

Where AI Meets Data

Our curriculum sits at the intersection of statistics, computer science, and applied AI — covering data mining, statistical learning, big data engineering, predictive modelling, deep learning, business analytics, and MLOps. Students work in modern labs equipped with Python, R, Tableau/Power BI, Hadoop & Spark, GPU clusters, and cloud analytics platforms, and graduate ready to step into roles as Data Scientists, Data Engineers, ML Engineers, and Business Intelligence Analysts.

Industry-Aligned & Research-Driven

We collaborate closely with industry through capstone analytics projects, hackathons, data competitions, and internships, and encourage faculty-student research in NLP, computer vision, recommender systems, and responsible AI.
