The Department of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning develops expertise in intelligent algorithms, model engineering, computer vision, natural language processing, and automation.

Its academic structure blends theoretical depth with hands-on implementation, enabling students to understand both the science and engineering of modern AI systems.

Welcome to the Department of Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning

Established in 2021, the Department of Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning at SRKR Engineering College is one of the institution's fastest-growing programs. From an initial intake of 60, our B.Tech in AI & ML has expanded to 240 sanctioned seats — a direct reflection of student demand and the surging industry need for AI talent. Our mission is to equip the next generation of engineers to build, deploy, and reason responsibly about intelligent systems that touch every domain of modern life.

Curriculum Built for an AI-First World

Our curriculum blends rigorous foundations in mathematics, statistics, and computer science with applied tracks in Deep Learning, Computer Vision, Natural Language Processing, Reinforcement Learning, MLOps, and Generative AI. Students work with modern GPU-accelerated infrastructure, industry-standard frameworks such as PyTorch and TensorFlow, and cloud platforms — including hands-on capstone projects that ship end-to-end ML systems.

Industry, Research & Responsible AI

We partner with leading technology companies for internships, expert seminars, and live projects, and our students regularly participate in Kaggle competitions, AI hackathons, and national project expos. Equally important, we embed Ethical and Responsible AI throughout the curriculum so our graduates not only build powerful models, but also understand their societal impact.
