Research & Innovation Overview

The Department of Computer Science & Design pursues applied research and innovation at the intersection of computing, human-centred design, and immersive media. Operating from within the SRKR Technology Centre, our faculty and students collaborate on UX research, game prototypes, AR/VR experiences, creative coding tools, and digital products — many of which are incubated as on-campus startups.

  • Industry collaborations on UX redesign and game prototypes with regional startups and SMEs.
  • Hackathon-derived projects evolving into incubated startups (e.g. Bhimavaram Online — NIT-AP Startup Expo winner).
  • Conference and journal papers in HCI, computer graphics, game studies, and design education.
